dude i forgot to title this one too

since last i posted so much has happened. so much that i hardly know where to begin or if i can even try. i will try, though it might take more than one post. as i write, i am listening to uranus by sleeping at last and sitting in the kitchen of the community house at the mission base in louisiana, most of the lights are out, and i have two cups of tea sitting next to me that are both too sweet to drink because i accidentally made one of them much too sweet and then the second without any to help balance the first out but it's not really working.
ahem.
run-on sentences, gotta love 'em.

anyway um it's late and i'm tired but i think i will put in some pictures that capture the aesthetic of my latest novel idea which may or may not be a wizard of oz retelling so yeah.  if i can find some pictures of my own then i will compile a post at a later date but i have so much to do now-a-days that this blog is going to be a little dusty. however, FEAR NOT i am not leaving for good and i will try my hardest to blog more in the coming months. thank you to all of you who have stayed with me, i love you to the moon but not back because the moon is such a lovely place to stay and i'm tired of earth so let's stay up there, hey?

NOPE I DECIDED TO DO A LINK INSTEAD BECAUSE I AM FEELING VERY TIRED AND DEAD AND I GOTTA GET UP EARLY TOMORROW SO HERE YOU ARE

but to make it up to you, here's a snippet:

When did we become so broken? the words echoed through her mind as she watched the farmland rolling by through the open window of the bus. she let her fingers dance as if they felt a piano and not empty wind pressing against their tips.

she let the cold night air send whip her hair in all directions and kept her sunglasses on even though the only brightness that could be seen for miles came from the headlights of the bus and the stars up above.

she turned her head to look at Danny and wondered again when they had become so broken. her mind went back through the miles and miles they had traveled and to all the places they had called home.

eventually the lights of a city could be seen on the horizon and as they made their way towards it the glow of green numbers on the dash told the time to be 9:50 pm. they slowed to a stop outside an old-fashioned diner and watched the neon open sign revolve slowly on it's axis. danny penetrated the heavy silence with a sniff and then a clearing of his throat.

"you hungry?" he asked, his voice scratchy from not speaking for so long. terra nodded and shrugged. he sighed and pulled the keys out of the ignition. "let's go then."

they exited the vehicle and terra instinctively reached for danny's hand. he squeezed gently. "it's alright." he whispered. terra pulled on the frayed cuff of her sweater with her right hand and bit her lip. danny entwined their fingers. we're here, his said. we will protect you. the fingers on his other hand went to her face and removed her sunglasses and the hair from her eyes. she swallowed and tried to smile. he returned her smile and they entered the diner.

or maybe two snippets just cuz

a warm yellow glow dripped like butter from everything inside the diner. there was a long bar that stretched from one end of the room to the other, with tall ancient looking bar stools. the diner was nearly deserted, except for a couple hunched over their respective laptops with a shared pair of earbuds between them, and a young man sitting on the edge of the bar, his back to the newcomers. danny stepped forward, dragging a slightly unwilling terra along with him. he sat himself and terra down on two of the stools that looked less likely to fall apart upon contact with anything heavier than a kitten. the young man turned and his eyes crinkled into a smile though his mouth remained unscathed. he held a book in his hands that he looked to be almost finished with, so few were the pages that remained to be turned.

"give me a moment so i can finish this?" his voice had a smooth musical hint to it. danny nodded and the man turned away from them once again. relative silence fell upon them, though it was a silence full of the kind of tiny clatter that no one notices until it is gone. the hum of a refrigerator, the clatter of fingers pressing keys on a computer, and the crisp sound of a page being turned. terra slowly began to relax as she got used to the environment. the general yellow light that reigned in the diner was bright but not invasive and blue fairy lights twinkled in time to a music that only they could hear.

at last the man finished his book. he closed it with a soft sigh, and sat for a moment as if still traversing the world he had just been reading about. then he jumped off the counter and twirled around to face his costumers.

"welcome to munchies," he said. "i just finished a book so if i act a little strange it's probably because i am still mentally traversing in the world i have just been reading about." this announcement brought a smile to danny's lips. "what can i get for you two?" the man asked.

danny glanced down at the shiny pin fastened to the man's shirt. "glen, is it?"

"yes." the man blinked as he said this, reminding terra of the way animated characters nod their approval of something.

"well, glen, what's the special of the day?"

"Hey Google,"

"Hey Google,"

"what do you put on a handkerchief to knock someone out?"

"can you spray chloroform?"

"large guns?"

"large guns with pictures?"

"how does one breathe when tense?"

"how does stress affect breathing rate?"

"she pursed her lips?"

"how long does it take to knock someone out with chloroform?"

"deadpanned definition?"

"how long does a person stay unconscious after being knocked out by chloroform?"

"where is the engine in a helicopter?"

"where would you shoot if you wanted to disable a helicopter?"

"who invented high heels?"

"what is a crime family?"

"artemis vs diana?"

Writers have to ask Google some weird questions, and these are a few of the ones I asked while writing this NaNo.

JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW, I am trying to keep up with blog posts this year. I'm not really doing New Years Goals™ just because they always annoy me and I never fulfill them anyway, BUT I am setting some ideas down that I will try to do. *reads what I just read* *realizes it's stupid*

OKAY FINE I AM DOING NEW YEARS GOALS™ STOP LOOKING AT ME WITH THOSE JUDGEY EYES.

Aaaaanyway, I am also hoping to catch up on all of y'alls blogs but IDK DON'T PRESSURE ME LIKE THAT.

Other things of note, I may or may not have STARTED FREAKING COLLEGE TODAY AND MAYBE HAVING A SLIGHT FREAK OUT SESSION BUT IN A GOOD WAY.

one tiny last thing of import: I am thinking about moving blogs???? SO I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS.

1. I know a couple of you have moved blogs before, so how do you move all your old posts and stuff to the new blog??????

2. What do you think I should call it? I have some ideas, and you can vote on which you like OR spout some new ones at me.

  • imagination gone mad
  • a mad hatter's lair
  • east wind bloweth
  • dreams of fairytales
  • accounts from ever after

alright LET ME KNOW!!!

BE DISTRACTED BY THE PRETTY HEADER + SNIPPETS OF A STORY

HEY LET'S JUST DELVE RIGHT INTO THIS POST AND FORGET I TOOK A SUPER LONG BREAK FROM BLOGGING OKAY? OKAY. PLZ DON'T KILL ME.
Since I took a haitus that was only semi-planned (meaning I knew I wouldn't post AS much due to my sister's wedding but then haha yeah didn't even after all that craziness subsided) I will oblige you all by sharing snippets of a story I haven't worked on in ages.
It IS finished, but YAH NEEDS A LOT OF EDITING (send HALP PLZ*)

I plan on editing this like crazy in the semi-near future, or enlisting some help THEN I MAY OR MAY NOT BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR BETA READERS YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING??

*why is it so much fun to write plz??????

So I'm going to be starting a new blog soon dedicated solely to my Adventure Entries so when that comes up I will share the link with you and expect you all to be good little children and subscribe to that one too!!
However, I am going to put a whole bunch of entries on there until I am completely caught up to the day I am living in and THEN I will make the blog public so I am sorry if it is a lot to catch up on, but I may end up putting it in a book and publishing it anyway SO THERE YA GO.

Here be the snippets:

The beginning few sentences:

Chopin floats gently out of the speakers as Phillip and I do the dishes. I wash, as a rule. He is too slow, and never uses enough soap. He dries, as a rule. I can't stand drying with a wet towel, and the towel never stays dry for long. Neither of us speak, and neither of us care. We love to listen to the rippling of the piano roll around the room, and are content to work in silence. As I drain my sink, and rinse the extra suds away, he puts the last dish in the cupboard. I fold the rag and drape it on its hook. He spreads his towel over the oven door handle. I sweep the floor, and he vacuums the living room.

Enter: Trouble, right stage.

¨Class, we have a new student amongst us! Please do your best to welcome him!¨ Mrs. Latimer says in her false cheerful voice- the one she only uses for adults, and welcoming new students. A boy with shockingly blond hair stands up. His eyes are a kind of brown auburn color I have never seen before.

'Sup, loser.

¨Hey! You!¨
I freeze.
¨ Yes you!¨ I turn around and see the New Kid, but he’s not talking to me. He is talking to a tall handsome guy a few feet away from me. New Kid is tiny compared to him, but he walks over and pokes Tall Guy in the chest.
“I saw you trip her!” he yells, pointing at me. My eyes widen. “You got a problem with her?”
Tall Guy smirks,“No, but I got a problem with you poking me.” he says, causing a lot of laughter. I am amazed that New Kid would stand up for me. Maybe he isn’t so bad. But then New Kid just lifts his hands in surrender and gives a nervous chuckle
“Just wondering.” he says, and backs off. Never mind.

Because I wanted to see what it would be like to enjoy math:

(pro tip: it's terrible 0.5/10 do not recommend)

I am in need of some math and chocolate to restore me to my senses. There is a bag of chocolate chips in the cupboard, so I take the whole thing, a spoon and the tub of peanut butter.

5y - 7y + 6y - 9 = 3 + 2y is… I ask myself. Phillip usually makes the meals because he was the only one who really knew how. Okay, combine terms… Now, I know enough to scrape a meal together, but still not much. Add 9, subtract… divide... I’ll have to ask Philip to teach me some more about meals. I get out the chicken, and put it in the oven like it says in the directions. I follow the recipe for everything on the label of the alfredo sauce. I love it when labels have recipes. It makes it so much easier. “Aha!” I yell out loud, “It's 6!” I check my answer quickly and then grin.
Math is so calming.

Because that's what older brothers are for:

Before Mom´s sickness, Phillip and I were basically strangers. We only spoke to each other when we were fighting, and never went into each other's rooms. I positively disliked him. Then, on the day of the funeral, Dad got mad and yelled at me for being too loud. I was barely making any noise at all. I started crying, and so Phillip came out of Mom’s room, took me gently by the shoulders and walked me to my room. We stayed up there and played Barbie dolls till supper time. I smile at the thought, because I had grown out of my Barbies a long time ago, but it was the only thing Phillip thought girls played with. We played more often after that. H always made the girls run away, and stop the Nazi Ken dolls from destroying the planet. They would try, anyway. They never won. The Nazis always caught them in the end and shot them.

She's the paramedic:

“Hello Mabel. I hoped you would come.” Phillip says from the doorway. Without turning around the woman barks a little laugh and says.
“Hiya, Squirt.” Then she does turn and then tilts her head in Paige's direction. “You should have told me you had a girlfriend, baby.” She says.
“Well I didn't want you to be jealous. That could prove hazardous for everyone's health.” He smiles back.
Paige looks confused, but I smile and Mabel throws her head back and roars with laughter.
After a minute or so, she sobers up and then jerks her thumb at me.
“What's the story with the kid?”

poetry:

White paper
Blue ink
Icy vapor
Upon the brink.

...

My brother,                 My friend
My mother                 No longer
My father                A stranger
And me.

Enter Polly Parrot:

¨Polly, this is Beatrix. Beatrix, Polly.¨ I smile back at her.
“Hi.” I say
“Hi!” she says. I can easily tell they are sisters. They both have wavy blond hair, and bright blue eyes. They both have that dimple in their chin when they talk. And they both talk. Non. Stop. They are really nice, and Polly has a very good sense of style, but by the time we get out to get our nails done, my ears are ringing.

“Have you never seen the Idiot’s Lantern?” I ask her. “That is the episode this costume is from!”
“I don’t really like the tenth Doctor.” she says. I stare at her. “What?” she demands haughtily “I can have an opinion can’t I?” I frown. That is what Jonas said. I shrug and nod at her.
“I suppose. Now put my nail polish away will you?” she does so, and then pushes my TARDIS noise a couple of times. That girl.

Thank you for your patience, peoples, it really means a lot to me!!
Also, minor note here, I had my SECOND BLOGOVERSARY on October 12 (i think????) and I MISSED IT!!! I feel terrible!!!
But I also don't have anything to celebrate with so THERE'S THAT.
Here's a quick interrogation- I mean SURVEY! Ha ha. Survey.
DO IT NOW!
lol jk u don't have 2
But Do It.

AND THAT'S ALL!!! sorry this post was one of the old Dump Everything on You and Then RUN, but I mean you guys survived it before I turned sane (<< this was a joke. ew. why would I EVER be sane?!) so yah you can bear it again.

Entry 13

5/19/2017
(Note: No animals or ears were harmed in the writing of this entry…
Mostly…)
(also, this is more of a collection of random events from the day instead of a story)

I frantically write down the story idea I just got from my dream.

“I’m Jess, pleased to meet you.” He says, sticking out his hand.
“Pleased to meet you too.” Alisha says, and smiles slightly. His hand is cool, he has a firm grip. His fingers are long- just like the rest of his limbs. Heavens he’s tall.
Mira smiles sweetly,
“Well, I think-” her phone starts ringing. It's the theme song from Poldark. “Sorry guys.” She says and then walks a few feet away and starts talking into her phone.
“Hey Brody! I-”
Jess clears his throat, and Alisha turns her gaze up up up to his face, letting Mira fade into the background.
Alisha pushes her bangs behind her ear and hopes this isn’t as awkward for Jess as it is for her. She bites her bottom lip and makes her eyes go wide and loop around the room just for something to do.
Jess laughs outright.
“I know, right?” He says genially. “I don't know what to say either.”

I am just getting back to my prayer time when I look up at Annie on her bunk bed. She is grabbing Ophelia by the scruff of her neck.
“Anne!” I yell, “Be nice to Ophelia!”
She looks at me and says,
“She needs to know that we- that us- that the Eckstine's are bosses, not cats.” She leans in close to Ophelia’s face.
“We’re the boss!” She says. “Okay, Ophelia? We’re the bosses!”
“Anne, it's like Fin: ‘I'm in charge now! I'm in charge, Phasma, I'm in charge!’” I laugh.
She shakes Ophelia gently,
“Yeah Ophelia, I'm in charge now!” Then she sets her down on the barstool by the bed on the floor.
As Anne passes gets down and passes me, I hold my breath and pretend to be dead.
She doesn't notice.
“Anne! I was being dead over here and you didn't he notice!”
“Oh.” She says over her shoulder. “Woops.”
“I do that a lot. I just pretend to be dead. If I really died just randomly you guys wouldn't notice for 24 hours.” I observe somewhat blithely.
“I know!” Anne says.

“No, nachamama! Nachamama, Ophelia! Hey, will you be still, or do  have to hold you and kiss you. And call you Ophelia?”
Ophelia mews.
“Okay! I guess I have to hold you and kiss you and call you Ophelia.” I hear exaggerated kissing sounds.
“Oh look a cockroach.” Anne says.
“Where?” Becky says, looking down from her bunk bed.
“Is it alive or dead?” Mum asks from the kitchen.
Isaac comes in to exclaim and get rid of it.
“Aw Anne look!” Becky says, “She's being so cute! Get up here and look! She's just laying in my hands! Ophelia, are you tired now? Tired from all that running around? And sleeping in the morning?! Bazooka Jane would never do that.”
Ophelia mews in protest.
“Say please. Say please Ophelia.” Then to Anne: “I make her meow and then I put her down.” She then sets Ophelia down.

“There’s only a slight malfunction.” Bridget says in her fake British accent.
Oh goody.
Playing Star Wars yet again.
Not that that is a bad thing.
It is Star Wars after all.

Peter comes up to Meg on the top bunk, growling and roaring.
“Noooo!!!! Petehl you're scawing me!”
“Oh I'm sorry.” he says.
“Yo sowy?”
“Yes, for scaring you.”
“Fo scawing me?”
“Yeah.”
She leans down and hugs Peter around his neck.
“I wuv yo!” She says and then answers herself. “I wuv yo too!  Can I kiss yo fowhead?”
“Sure.”
I glance over just in time to see her pucker her lips and kiss Peter's forehead.
I nearly died of adorableness overload.

I go to the living room where greetings are thrown this way and that in proper spanglish fashion.
“Morning!”
“Morning.”
“Buenos dias!”
“Buenos dias.”
“Hey!”
“Buenas.”

“Cywano! Do not escape!” Meg say sternly.
“Run for your life!” I call
“Quick Cyrano, bite ‘er then run!” Peter says.
“Stawp escaping!” Meg says.
“Hey Cyrano! Password!” Peter grins and Cyrano promptly licks Meg’s leg.
“There Margaret, now you have to put him down. He did the password.”
Meg doesn't answer us and gets off her chair holding the bunny. She puts the furry animal on the chair and picks up the chair and carries it away.
“Meg, he's gonna escape.” I tell her.
Then Cyrano escapes.
Meg chases him around for a while and gets extremely annoyed when he goes behind a chair.
“Cywano!” She cries.
“Be nice to that bunny.” dad says.

Peter and Becky laugh quietly as they watch Rachel play with Ophelia. Mum listens as Paul talks about a priest in a nearby town. Bridget lounges and frowns as if thinking very hard about something. Dad is getting his praise and worship songs ready for prayers. Meg sits with Cyrano, Isaac is playing something in the corner. Paul and Ms. Bing sit with their baby in a stroller, Douglas and Ninoska share a couch, and I sit in this corner, rocking and writing this all.

I see Ezekiel going to Isaac with a scorpion.
“Isaac!” He says it like ee-sack.
I swat at a fly by my head.
“Look he has a scorpion!!” Guess Who exclaims.
“Isaac, anything he does is not cool, just because he does it.” Peter says drily and we laugh.
“Hey Isaac, make it bite him!” I tease.
“It can't sting it can only bite.”
“I know, that's why I said bite not sting.”
Just now Meg runs up.
“Petehl! Thews a scohpian!!”
Peter gasps in mock astonishment.
“Its ginowmus!”
“That big??”
“Yeah!”
Then she tells me almost the same thing. I add a few screams to make it scarier. Then she keeps walking slowly to me and whispering “scorpion” while I flourish a new scream at the end of each.

“Esthew!! We found a fwog!”
I scream.
“Do you wike baby fwogs?” She ask,
“No!” I yell.
She walks off, as if I’m a lost cause.
Probably am.

Peter and Rachel are gutting and scaling fish.
“I don't want to get cwoser to dose scawy eyes.” Meg says.
“Are you gonna do a fish?” Rachel asks.
“Dunno. I’m gonna have to cook ‘em so hopefully not.”
“You?” Rachel and Peter ask incredulously.
“Well I am lunch person. Aaand I’m a perfecook. Rachel sighs, partly annoyed and partly amused.

5/20/2017
We’re watching the Lego Movie- MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER BTW.
For some reason my siblings don’t see t as that great.

“Come with me if you wanna not die!”

AN INTERVIEW (that I totally did not bribe anyone into doing) + an announcement that I mentioned before but I'll say it again.

(in case you were wondering, the header thingy right there above these words is a picture of Lizzy because for a while Rae had a picture of Lizzy as her profile picture and I still think of her as Lizzy sometimes??
And Mrs. Bennet looking sane because that is basically who I am.
(except the sane part, obviously.)

So folks, THIS be the real post that happened when I asked the darling Ms. Rae about 3094 too many questions.
So go check out her blog HERE OR ELSE BE EATEN BY MY FEROCIOUS LOOKING FRIENDS OVER THERE

Ewok.... my dog was named after this very Ewok... I had this mini Ewok for ten years, bless this Ewok, will always miss him forever: Sept 12, 2011. My little old Man, Ewok, the pekingese king.

oh don't give me that blank look, Steven. You know I'm right.

AND WHILE WE'RE ON THE TOPIC OF STEVENS I actually don't know anyone named Steven. So yeah, if you know a Steven, or you ARE a Steven, let us get acquainted so I can mark that off my bucket list.
Just kidding that isn't on my bucket list.
But you know what is??

-I want to go to Chicago. Visit Hyde Park, and look at museums and stuff and basically Blue Balliot has made me add something to the bucket list I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I HAD, SO. I MEAN BASICALLY SHE'S BRILLIANT AND READ ALLL HER BOOKS A-S-A-P.
(so is that actually said a-s-a-p when it's spelled like asap, or do people just say ay-sap. I DUNNNO BROOO)
That's some awfully deep thinking in those parenthesis.
Don't let me do that again.

ANYWAY!! I AM DOING AN INTERVIEW. HERE IT IS, ENJOY.

(Note: my questions and comments are bold and italicized while Rae's answers are in RED LIKE THISthen at the end, when the font goes back to black it's me again.)

How many siblings do you have?
-Five

What is the best (as in prettiest, or whatever) name you've ever heard?
-Oooh, let's see. I've always loved the name Peter for a guy. That's pretty much the only "favourite name" I've had. I also think the name Esther is very pretty. 😉

Why are you so awesome?
No seriously. How did this come to pass? Is this like an inherited thing or can anyone do it?

-What a fine bit of nonsense coming from you!
That's it. That's my answer.

Advice for someone who feels like even amongst friends they are alone?

-I wrote up a long answer for this, and decided it was so long I'd make it into its own blog post. So here's that.

Favourite song at this moment?
-Battle Hymn of the Republic (it's a fun one on the piano, y'all).

Least favourite song at this moment?-Oh, now that's interesting. Hold on, I do have an answer for this. There's this one song that my siblings (or sometimes myself, sadly) will start singing and I'll get annoyed with them...you know what, I think it's Let It Go. I think it's always Let It Go that's the annoying song at our house. Now, I don't really have anything against the song itself, or the words, it's just that it is far too catchy and annoying at this point.
(To anyone for whom this triggered it getting stuck in your head, I apologize.)

If you only had 3 days left to live, what would be the most important things for you to accomplish?
-Question for you: did you expect a serious answer?*  I don't feel like taking this one seriously. :p
I would eat all of my very favourite things because I wouldn't have to be worried about the long-term effects on my health. Lots of chocolate.
I'd declare my undying love to the man of my drea--what? What did you say? Oh, he doesn't exist? Dangit. Well.
**

*(my answer: not necessarily)
**SO RELATABLE. I mean, seriously, whyyyy can't fictional characters come to liiiifee???? *proceeds to rant and wail miserably*

If you could steal (okay fine HAVE) any fictional character's wardrobe, whose would it be?
-Oh boy. You know what, I think it would be Emily Star's. Yep. Edwardian, and there are some simply divine descriptions of her clothes in the Emily books. (L. M. Montgomery, to those who don't know. What a shock, I know.)

Forest, ocean or mountains which is the best?
-What about forest and mountains? Though if I have to choose, I'll go with forest. I love trees too much.

Favourite piece of jewelry (if you have any)

-Probably these:
p.s. these are Rae's photos so don't steal them. I do not take kindly to theft. BE WARNED.

Describe your bedroom (hehe a demand, I know, but just pretend it's in question format)
-Oh, you want pics? I took some when I was decorating it, being a new room and all.

(The book is "What Would Jane Do? A book that disappointingly includes movie quotes and attributes them to Jane Austen, a pet peeve of mine. :/)
(I think they're a little blurry. :/)

Favourite type of tea? (if you drink tea)

-Nope, I don't!

What do you put in your tea (again, if you do drink it), milk, sugar, etc.

-See above :D

Favourite instrument
-I play the flute and the piano, but my favourite to listen to might be the harp.

Best instrumental music you ever heard

-Ooooh...That's hard. I love a lot of instrumental music. I might have to go with "The Firebird" by Stravinsky...not sure if that's the kind of answer you were going for, but there it is.

Favourite movie soundtrack
-'Kay, this is, like, realllly weird, but it's the old animated "The Hobbit". The sound track is. Ah. May. Zing.

The rest of the soundtrack

Favourite candle scent
-Ohhh, hmm...I've not thought about it. Probably the vanilla-brown-sugar-y type.

Which is better- straight or curly hair?
-Dependdsss...I like my hair better straight, it's so much easier to manage and it doesn't tangle nearly so bad.

Favourite hair color?

-Auburn

What was your first word?
-Mom says it was "thank you". Didn't know that before, huh.

If you had to read one book for the rest of your life (besides the Bible) what would it be?

-Aaaah, what??? Okay, Pride and Prejudice. Because it's been proven by my best friend that one can read it, like, 15 times in 2 months and not get tired of it. And then read it two more times a month later. Yep.

(Photo cred: me)

Do you know of any songs about siblings?
-There's song that I've heard a couple of times...Hey Brother, by Avicii.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cp6mKbRTQY

Name a song you want played at your wedding
-Ooh, I don't know... Maybe Can't Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis

Name a song you want played at your funeral *
-Whoa, okay. Um...Lead, Kindly Light?

* I know. I turn from randomly happy to very dark and dreary at random intervals without warning. It's kind of fun and kind of concerning?? *insert happy/confused face here*

Pick a song you wish someone would do a cover of. (who totally won't be me, why would you ever think that??)
-Hmm, a song I want you to do a cover of? I'd love to hear something from the Broadway Cinderella musical.

When is your birthday?

-End of May

Favourite constellation?

-What? Hadn't thought about that either. How about the Little Dipper.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?
-Night owl

Name a book you thought would be terrible but was actually good-I don't read books that I think will be terrible. :D *

*hehe good policy.

Name a book you thought would be good and was terrible*

-Hmmmm I really can't think of any.

*ooh lucky you!

What is a song that always makes you happy?
-El Grillo, by Josquin. :D

What is a song that can make you cry/be really sad? *
-Oh, boy. A lot of the songs from Les Mis.

* I KNOW!

What is the worst song you have ever heard?
-Ugh, there are a lot of awful songs. Lots of pop songs and (how many people would I offend if I said I really don't like country music? Sorry).

Who is your favourite youtuber?

-Jordan Taylor/Blimey Cow

What is the latest title for a song/story/essay/whatever that you made up? *
-The last thing I wrote...I think it was an essay. I took an English Comp class this summer. Let me look. Okay, the "Saved As" title on Microsoft Word is "Final Exam (!!!)" but the title is "From Passive Agreement to Active Obligation". I'm really bad at coming up with titles; I really don't like it.

*haha that is a great title. Very original adding those exclamation marks.

What is the last book that made you laugh out loud?

-It was one of the "Wide-Awake Princess" books by E. D. Baker. They're fun, easy reads. :D

When you are old, what memory do you want to be the one you tell your grandkids over and over? (example: I want mine to be when I get engaged [if/when that ever happens])
-Oh boy, I don't know. I like your example. That could very well be it.

What fictional character do you think you would be best friends with in real life?
-Okay, the first people that came to mind, I really don't think I'd be best friends with. Like, not Elizabeth Bennet or Anne Shirley. Not Margaret Hale. Not Amy Dorrit. Like, none of them are quite the kind of person I, personally, would be best friends with. I adore them all, but y'know.
Okay, y'know, I think I could actually get on quite well with Molly Gibson.

She needs a good best friend, anyway.

Whew! There we go! Thanks for all the questions, Esther!

YOU'RE WELCOME I HAD FUN COMING UP WITH THEM!!

The rest of y'all's question answers are coming soon! If you haven't and want to, you can ask questions here. *

*do it or else.

P. S. this is what happens when you are up at past ten and you want a picture for your blog post. You search "little furry bears from star wars"
P.P.S. the announcement I mentioned in the title of this post is as follows: I AM GOING TO BE POSTING MAINLY ADVENTURE ENTRIES UNTIL I CATCH UP WITH THE MODERN TIMES (by which I mean, NOT five months ago) SO YEAH BE WARNED.
p.p.p.s. Note for Rae: it's funny because re-reading your answers I find that I have so many more things to add to my already thousand worded comment....
THAT'S NOT WEIRD RIIIGHT??

BECAUSE I ALWAYS WRITE THESE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. (EXCEPT SOMETIMES...) (FEEL FREE TO IGNORE ME...) (ACTUALLY DONT THAT'S RUDE)

So this is a tag. Actually 2 of them. And this will be SUPER FUN!
And also probably ridiculously hard to do. (At least the first one)
LET'S GET STARTED, SHALL WE??
(I apologize I am late in posting AGAIN! This week turned out to be unexpectedly hectic, and until everything slows down expect little to no posts from me. Or just late ones.)

THE FIRST TAG:  The What Would A Blogger Party Meet-Up Look Like?

Hosted by the lovely Abigail Lennah!!! Now go to her blog NOW and follow, comment on all her posts, like them, share them, write in her guestbook and basically BE A GOOD COW.
Righto, moving on!

NAME THE VENUE
Erm.. just someplace in a cute little town, right next to a bookshop and a cafe. Someplace out of the way, and beautiful, and scenic. Mountains on one side, plains on the other, and the ocean somewhere close. GOOD LUCK FINDING IT.

LIST THREE FOODS THAT NEED TO BE PRESENT
  1. Ice cream
  2. Waffles (I supposed pancakes too, but whatever.)
  3. Chocolate cake
ALL I CAN SAY IS, SOMEONE EITHER READING (OR WRITING) THIS HAS THEIR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.
ALSO, DON'T JUDGE ME.

DANCE TIME!!! NAME FIVE ARTISTS OR BANDS FOR YOUR PARTY MIX-TAPE
  1. Glen Miller
  2. Audiomachine
  3. Lindsey Stirling
  4. Adam and I
  5. Eklipse
I'M A WRITER OKAY? I NEED MUSIC THAT INSPIRES ME TO WRITE.
Oh, and of course! Abbie Emmons, uhduh.

WHAT THREE ACTIVITIES WOULD WE MOSTLY ENGAGE IN?
  1. Frantically writing notes on the growth of all our new plot bunnies we have recently adopted. (Recently as in two minutes ago...)
  2. Co-plotting World Domination  Collabing a great post with a (meaning seventeen) great blogger(s)
  3. The exchange of blogging tips
  4. We'd also probably be trying to hear eachother over the noise of our own awesomeness, but y'know, we are only allowed three activities, so...

DESCRIBE A POST COLLABORATIVE YOU WOULD DO AT THE PARTY
I would probably ask everyone to answer a few questions such as: how do you like the party, what's your favourite thing about blogging, whats a lesson you have learned from blogging you'd like to share?
And/Or, I would do a favourite quotes collab with everyone.
More than likely, I'd just go with the spur of the moment... hahaha XD

WHAT HABITS OR INTERACTION QUALITIES WOULD YOU NOTICE?
As Abigail said, I'm pretty sure introverts wouldn't be that introverted once they got into the life of the party. I'M SURE I WOULDN'T.

I think there would be a lot of rushing around asking how to spell random words/what random words mean/who has google translate I can borrow/do you think [insert name here] is a good name(yes, I'm naming my child! what else would you call a book)/what's another word for said/HOW DO YOU HAVE SO MANY FOLLOWERS IT'S INSANE/am I insane/can you follow my blog/

Also a ton of pictures being taken, and contact info being swapped, and collabs plotted.

Like Abigail said: NO ONE WOULD SLEEP. WE'D BE MUCH TO HYPED.
I COULD HAVE DAAANCED ALL NIIIGHT! I COULD HAVE DAAANCED ALL NIIGHT AND STIIILL HAVE BEEEEGGED FOR MOOOORE!!!!!!
oops. sorry.

THE SECOND TAG: The Sunshine Blogger Award

I was tagged by my lovely older sister ABI
The-why-are-people-so-obsessed-with-these-ew-this-is-disgusting (aka Rules): Link back to your nominator and thank them and be a nice person unlike the swine who invented rules.
#sarcasmrules
Then you answer the questions, then you ask about the secrets of the universe, then you tag someone else and make THEM subject to the same rules you were. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
them poor little dears, sobbing buckets of tears....

(If you are tagged and don't want to use my wording or don't want to reword it yourself, here is a nice version of what I just wrote:)
Rules: Recognize your nominator, answer the questions ask some questions of your own, and then pass the tag on!

DA QUESCHINS:

(um hello, have you met me? I speak all the languages of all the moons and their rocks. This is actually skdyfhish)

Have you ever traveled outside the US?
MULTIPLE TIMES. I been to the Caribbean, the Phillipines, Central America (multiple times), England, and technically Canada and China if you count sitting in the airport.

What's the first memory you can remember?
I believe I have shared this story before, but I remember singing the Alleluia Chorus to myself at the age of three.

Or what sounded like it to me.

Coffee, tea or hot chocolate?
ANY AND ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Do you enjoy having pets?
ISH?? I mean, I like some animals. Emphasis on SOME. I'm really picky when it comes to animals, and while I LIKE them well enough, it's much better to read/write about pets. And less messy.

If you could move anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Arg this is a hard one! I would love to move back to Oregon, but I also would like to live in England, ya know? Or Ireland. Or Prince Edward Island.

Sensing a pattern here much?
Yes. Yes you are.
I have a thing for islands???

DIS IS GREAT.

My own queschins:
-What song were you listening to last?
-Who was the last person you spoke to?
-What was the last word you spoke, backwards?
-Who is the last person you said Thank You to?
-When was the last time a stranger did something nice for you?
-Who last made you smile?
-What was the last thing you drank?
-WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE BLOGGER?
-Actually don't answer that, because we all know the answer.
-It's me btw.
-Don't argue with your elders.

AND NOW TO TAG YOU LOVELY FOLKS:

Mira Elizabeth
Allie
Sophy
Kathryn
Tane
Sorry I don't have time to link to all of your blogs! Link back to your post if/when  you do this tag so I can read your answers!!!!
Also, I tagged some of you twice, so if you want to do both you can, or you can just pick which tag you want to do!!

I have a new sign-off guys. How do ya like it?

kayloveyoubye!

ANSWER ONE OR MORE OF THESE QUESTIONS, PEOPLE WHO I DID NOT TAG!!!!

How do you like my new blog look? How do you like the sign-off? Elvish is better, but I sorta like this one. It's very abrupt.
HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?? If you don't want to answer any of the tag questions, just answer the What was the last thing that made you smile.
Now go make someone else smile.

ALSO, I JUST LOOKED, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT SOME OF THIS POST IS HIGHLIGHTED IN WHITE, and you can't read it unless you highlight it with your mouse. I don't know why it's doing that, but I'm working on it!
SO SORRY!!!!!

Entry 17 (hello again)

It's 78° out and my earl grey tea is just a bit hotter, it warms my legs as it rests rather precariously on my lap. It's dusk and th...
