Well my friends, I am back with a LONG post and a lot of things on the agenda! For my last post I just posted a random thing that has been sitting in my drafts- and hoped you all would laugh! It seems to have worked! HOORAY FOR ME!

Okay, so I HAD a post all made out for the holiday season and our time in Nicaragua- but I didn't post it... for a reason I have yet to discover??
Ahem. Yeah.

First on the list, does the blog look different to you????? THAT'S BECAUSE I HAD IT REDECORATED BY- YES!!! YOU GUESSED IT!!!! THE ONE AND ONLY ALLIE TAYLOR!!!!

This may seem abrupt, but I will probably be renovating this blog AGAIN. Because I feel like it? Tell me what you like, what you would like me to add. I could add popular posts of mine or buttons on the sidebar or I DUNNO.

I also want to mention how AWESOME and COOL being part of a team- that is, Nicaragua was!!! I must confess, I found myself lacking in brain occupying activities, but I loved being there, and I didn't actually mind learning Spanish, and I can't wait to go back. Let's see if  I get around to adding pictures in here... probably not, seeing as it's me we're talking about.

We also went to the One Thing conference last year and it was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!! I can't say exactly what or why or how, but duuuude *shakes head* it was gooood. So, if you're ever around KC the last four days of the year, and are interested in a frankly awesome expierence, and love praise and worship to God, well then GO! it was Fantastic! Umm... that pretty much sums up all I got to say! I really hope you all are doing fantastic, but if you aren't, drop a comment- you don't have to say why or what, but I would love to pray for you! Cuz Jesus is spanking awesome, and you won't regret it, I promise. Or else I'll resign as president of the New England chapter of Busybodies Anonymous. (that was from White Christmas, in case you were wondering)

I did NOT, in fact, reach my goal of 100 books due to the serious lack of books to read, but I made it pretty close and here is a list of some of the great books I enjoyed:

Hello all you peoples of the Universe!
Hail Martians! Aaye Jupitians! Howdy Neptunians! Hey there All The Rest Of You!! I may or may not come in peace!

As you may have gathered from the title of this post, I have recently done a song cover to Peter Hollens' new song December Song, for a contest that said artist is hosting!
I am relieved, because I was extremely close to not being able to enter at all! What with being in Nicaragua, and the only wifi being turned off for these last three weeks, and all that jazz...yeah. Not too fun!

Me: are you kidding? It was horrible!
Myself: seriously! Almost as bad as no squirrel jokes! Speaking of which, why did the squirrel cross the road?
Me: AAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I: um, to get to the other side?
Myself: No! You're such a nut! *snickers* The squirrel crossed the road because it's cousin was on the other side! Hahahahahahaha!!
Me: *imitates Batman's voice* You are so disappointing on so many levels.

That is literally the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
We are just gonna ignore them, okay? Where was I? Oh yes! Entonces, I got the video loaded on YouTube, and I listened to the song exactly 5 times before the app realized I didn't have internet, and failed.
So, all I can say is I hope you enjoy the song! I really love Peter Hollens' songs! A lot of them are covers of songs, and between you and me, *lowers voice to a conspiratorial whisper* Peter Hollens' version is better!

I am hoping to get a Christmasy theme done on the blog! Won't that be spectacular?! Maybe I'll keep it!

Yeah, I didn't do well with the whole scheduled posting thing. Woops. Well!! To make up for it, I'll show you some snippets of one of my many Work In Progresses. It has no name, but I'm working on it.
Random Fact: I used to have great story names, and no words for the story, and now I have a million trillion words for the story and no names!!

       Cora and her governess.

“I do not want to get dressed,” she said slowly, as if talking to an infant. “or go downstairs, or see you until I call for you.” she reached Ms. John, and turned her around. “Shoo.”

“I say time for some fun, what about it Calebs?”
“But ma’am, you can’t be thinking of your cousins again. We just finished cleaning up their last mess.” Despite her calm face and voice, Calebs was as close to panicked as she had ever been in her life. Not the cousins. Please not the cousins.
“Indeed I am, Calebs.” Cora smiled, with a clap on the shoulder of her first mate. “I am in need of cheery company. I am still suffering from the after-effects of my party. Say, have you got an after-dinner mint?”

“So I says to him, 'An after-dinner mint, what do you take me for, a lady?’” the laugher that followed was so loud, it rattled the dishes. Or maybe the Captain was the cause of this. She tended to hit things when she had strong emotions.

“I'm sure there are worse things than getting married, Captain.” Calebs grunted, as she rowed to the Valiant. She had all the crew working double time to clean the Captain's cabin, and it wasn't even close to being finished. It seemed the cousins had taken a late night swim and the deck was littered with blankets, ropes, buckets, and an occasional stocking.
“Yes I know, one of them being hangovers.” The Captain rubbed her temples ruefully.

My Darling Princess Cora,  

                        That is how the second of the suitors addressed me today! I rather like it, but he, on the other hand is quite a bore! All he could talk of was himself, and it was so tedious I thought I would scream. Ms. John would have had a fit, and that would have been great fun, but Mother is an absolute terror when roused. I try not to rouse her.

I sigh to think of my lot in life. I cannot wait till I find my Bachelor and can go pirate.

I was forced to wear a dress today, which was quite horrid! Mother threatened me with a corset if I didn't behave, so I am forced to wear dresses the whole day long! Only on the Valiant can I find solace. I wear trousers constantly on it, but I am only on it for a few precious hours a day! It is all quite horrid. I will have yet another suitor this afternoon, and although he will only be my third, I feel as if he will be my thirtieth!


Oh lord, that dratted governess of mine is calling me. I must find the monster who invented governesses and have them tortured and executed for crimes against the state!

Questiones: 1. How did you get introduced to Anne of Green Gables?
Probably my older sisters. My whole family has been an L. M . Montgomery fan club (okay, NOT including my brothers,  but whatever,  they don't count.)

2. Are you more like Anne or Diana? Why?
I like to think I am more like Anne because I have an overly vivid imagination, and I have a passion for writing and getting into scrapes. But I am also NOT fond of talking... okay fine, I can and do talk. A lot. When I so choose. But she can say a dictionary full of words to a person on her first meeting and I am dreadfull shy. It's awfully annoying, y'know? I wouldn't mind being Diana... She is loyal, sweet, funny and has jet black hair! What's not to love? Then again, Havin red hair would be better so....... DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE! IT'S TOO HARD!


3. If Rachel Lydne called your hair as red as carrots how would you react? 
I would think "Wow, she is color blind." And I don't even know what I would say. I might just laugh. Or I guess say "I wish it was." I do wish it was, ever so badly

4. Gilbert or Morgan Harris? 
Um..... to put it mildly NO. CONTEST. GILBERT BLYTHE ALL THE ENTIRE WAY!!!!!

5. Honest opinion on the third Anne film. 
It was so terrible it was sad. It was WAAAAAY off from the books, and Anne seemed too... not Anne. I loved to see Megan Follows and Jonathan Crumbie, but... nah. It can go rot in a ditch for all I care. 

6. Have you seen the New Anne film? 
I have not, nor do I intend to. I have no wish to see my lovely image of the characters and their ways ruined by some new dopey imposter. The. End.

Just don't let your pet squirrel near it. Figure it out.

2. My dear friend Joanna told me I should start a blog. I was sort of appaled by the idea. I also had NO IDEA what to write!!!!!!!! But I asked my sister Abi (also check out  blog HERE, or else. Why am I always threatening you humans? Geez I am so mean. I will change my ways from now on. Ha! Joke.) And I asked mum, and I got both of their approvals so... I did it!!

3. Advice? From me?? Of course, my darlings! I thought you'd never ask.

• First off, you newbies, I will rid you of a nice thought you might have: Blogging is easy. LIE! Blogging is NOT easy, unless of course, you are a super amazing multi-tasking brownie bite, then sure! It is easy. But for the rest of us humans, Joe, it is not. Does that mean it is ridiculously hard and an impossible mission and the world is going to end?!?!?!

                                       
Of course not silly, wipe your little runny nose on this tissue. But it means you should have some dedication, and you should also keep a lot of post ideas handy. You will always run through dry times when your brain is dead and you can't think of what to write, but YOU WILL MAKE IT. You will. So I guess advice number 1: don't give up. I know it's more cheesy than Tillamook factory, but you wil have to deal with it.

• Peice of Advice number 2! Do not expect people to come streaming to your blog in hordes and they will all love you and comment and follow and the world is sunshine and roses. (Yes, I did just quote a silly song from Veggietales.) Keep in mind that a blog is hard work, and you will have to put out effort to get followers. But like I said in the first Peice of Advice: Don't give up. Blogging is a lot of fun, and you WILL see followers eventually. Esspecialy if you follow Rae's advice. What?? You don't know what I am talking about??? THAT'S BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GO READ HER BLOG. Shame on you!
