Blogger Recognition Award, Bloggiversary, Announcement

Aaye, humans!! As you can see from the title of this post, there is lots on the agenda! So let´s get cracking!

Me: why do people say that? Get cracking what?
Myself: probably jokes... about squirrels. Did you see that? See what I did there? YES! I AM THE BEST AT THESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I: *politely claps*
Me: *rolls eyes*

Now, now girlies! Be nice, or I'm making you be silent for the rest of these posts!
...
Very good, that´s better!

First order of business: Blogger Recognition Award!!!!!!!!! I was tagged by lovely miss Rae! I order you fiends to check out her blog HERE and follow her because she is the best. And her blog has a lot to do with Period Dramas and Jane Austen and other amazing authors like that!!! So, yep, check it out.

Here are the rules for this here blogging taggaroonie:

  1. Thank the blogger who tagged you.
  2. Tell a little bit about how you started blogging
  3. Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers
  4. Nominate 15 other bloggers

Sorry, but I just love this gif to death. Ahem.

1. A HUGE THANK YOU TO DEAR RAE!!!!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY YOU TAGGED ME AND YOUR BLOG IS THE BEST.

Now lettuce-

Me, Myself, and I: and tomatoes!

Thanks, girls! Ahem.
Let us continue
2. My dear friend Joanna told me I should start a blog. I was sort of appaled by the idea. I also had NO IDEA what to write!!!!!!!! But I asked my sister Abi (also check out  blog HERE, or else. Why am I always threatening you humans? Geez I am so mean. I will change my ways from now on. Ha! Joke.) And I asked mum, and I got both of their approvals so... I did it!!

3. Advice? From me?? Of course, my darlings! I thought you'd never ask.

  • First off, you newbies, I will rid you of a nice thought you might have: Blogging is easy. LIE! Blogging is NOT easy, unless of course, you are a super amazing multi-tasking brownie bite, then sure! It is easy. But for the rest of us humans, Joe, it is not. Does that mean it is ridiculously hard and an impossible mission and the world is going to end?!?!?!

Of course not silly, wipe your little runny nose on this tissue. But it means you should have some dedication, and you should also keep a lot of post ideas handy. You will always run through dry times when your brain is dead and you can't think of what to write, but YOU WILL MAKE IT. You will. So I guess advice number 1: don't give up. I know it's more cheesy than Tillamook factory, but you wil have to deal with it.

  • Peice of Advice number 2! Do not expect people to come streaming to your blog in hordes and they will all love you and comment and follow and the world is sunshine and roses. (Yes, I did just quote a silly song from Veggietales.) Keep in mind that a blog is hard work, and you will have to put out effort to get followers. But like I said in the first Peice of Advice: Don't give up. Blogging is a lot of fun, and you WILL see followers eventually. Esspecialy if you follow Rae's advice. What?? You don't know what I am talking about??? THAT'S BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GO READ HER BLOG. Shame on you!
Sorry my lovely followers and random readers, I am in a bit of a yelling mood today.

4. Now I must nominate 15 other bloggers.... okay, let's do this.

Maddie
Allie
Abi
Deborah
Abbie
Naomi
Uhhhhh
Hmmmm
???????
(and to steal Rae's idea)
Anyone wearing something pink
Anyone standing up while reading this
Anyone with freckles
Anyone who loves/hates/has a passing likeness for Doctor Who
Anyone who wants to!

Hooray!!! I finished! And sort of cheated... but, I'm not really sorry.... anyway, shame on me.

And now, My Lovely Humans.....

Happy 1st Blogiversary!!!!!!!

Yes, you read right! I have been blogging for a year!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crazy huh? And I've done only 13 posts! Oh yeah, I almost forgot. *fireworks* CAKE FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! AND WAFFLES TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Thank you, Abbie and Cait for getting me into these things. Check out their blogs too, people.)
Most bloggers, I have noticed, host a giveaway or something on their blogiversaries, but I have nothing to give away! So, you will have to just eat some cake and waffles and be satisfied, deary. Sorry.
While we are celebrating, I want to thank each and every one of my 11 followers. You guys are the best, and you all deserve a lifetime supply of chocolate, but I can´t give it to you. *sobs* I did´t find a golden ticket.... and SOMEONE won't give me any Wonka bars! *frowns*
Anyway, I thank you all. You are the best.

Okay, party over, laast order of business!!!!!
An Announcment.... *scary music* no! Not that one, Me! The other one! *wedding march* NO! Not that one either!!! Well, I guess I should mention, while we are in the mood (Glen Miller), my sister is engaged, and it is SO FABULOUSLY EXCITING!!!!!!! Myself, play the right one, will you? *plays peppy polka music*  *cringes* Okay, whatver, just skip the music.
The Announcement is I WILL BE GONE UNTIL CHRISTMAS
No, don't cry!! Have some cake, there's some left! Waffles, anyone? Okay, now that we are done freaking out, there´s some good news.

I have prepared a bunch of posts that I will schedule to post so that you dear humans will not be completely without me! I will probably not be able to reply to your comments immediately, as I have been doing, but still please comment, I will answer as soon as possible. Okay? It's really going to be fine. I have some great ones planned, (another My Face When!) and when I get back from Nicaragua I will post some about our mission, I hope and update and answer comments. Auf wiedersehen for now, my lovelies! And I guess it is redundant, but I like to end my posts with it, so:

My Face When- Bleak House

Hey peeps! Ew. Did I really just say that?

Myself: YEP! You did!!! I am witness to the fact, and I am prepared to testify in court
Me: Totally! Just like I saw that squirrel crawling on the power line, yesterday- *gasps* I SHOULD TURN THAT INTO A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hold on, let me think....
Myself: *facepalm*
I: um, maybe not?

anyway, I did NOT just call you humans (if you are not human, just tell me in the comments, I'll make sure to stop saying it) peeps the very THOUGHT is UNTHINKABLE!!!!!!!!! Ahem, moving on.
So, I found a FANTILIANT post, on a blog that is also FANTILIANT, it is so FANTILIANT it is FANTILIANT

Myself: if you say that word one more time, you might find yourself with a bent nose.
Me: *muttering*
I: wait, is she lost?
Myself: *gives look of disgust*
I: what? I was TRYING to make a joke! *sigh*

Like I was saying, it is absolutely FA- er, fantastic! Check out her blog HERE or ELSE, I'll send Myself to hound you, and as you all can tell, she is quite... erm, brutal.

Myself: Thank you.
I: You're welcome
Myself: *glares* not YOU

Okay, onward, Christian soldiers!!

My face when Me makes another squirrel joke.
(I fear for her sanity)

My face when people say pink is a manly color.
(*voice dangerously calm*
Say what?)

Someone says Doctor Who is dumb...
(*silence*)
Then,

(Oh! It's a joke! Funny)
Then they say it is not a joke:
Then:

My face when my little siblings aren't doing their chores.
(Glaring icey daggers is quite effective)

My face when my little sister is telling another stranger the story of my family's life.

My face when people say they don't like to read and/or don't like books.

My face when I'm discussing a book I love with another person who loves it.
Just kidding, my face is more like:

Except with a lot more exclamation marks, and quoting and sqeals and a lot less dancing.

My face when my little brother announces everything he is currently doing to the world.

My face when I get a REALLY good story idea.
(ooh, I am such a genius, I gotta go tell someone)

My face when no one gets my story idea
(Fine, I guess it is just too complicated for your tiny human brain to process.)

My initial reaction when a favorite character dies
Then:
(What?? No!! *proceeds to wail and mourn for days*)

My face when I am defending a book, or homeschooling, or one of my siblings.
(Yes, I am one of many talents. One look can mean many things. This face could also mean, you have a little black thing on your tooth)

My face when someone says they don't like the Lego Movie
(Hint: I love the Lego Movie.)

My face when I find a witty and awesome come back- after the argument has ended, so it is no use at all. (NOOOOOO!!!!!!)

My face when I think of a witty and AMAZING come back- before the conversation is over! (Take that! Ha! Ha!)
(Yes, my friends! It is I, the great master of witty and amazing comebacks. No, no, don't bow to me! Oh well, I suppose now that you're already kneeling, go ahead)

The End

So, I doubt that was as funny as Rae's Pride and Predjudice, but it is a lot harder than it looks! I'll leave you with a hilarious thingy and a gif, because I want to
hehehe, the best right??

And from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, because, why not?

Well! That about wraps it up for today, folks! As you can tell, my schedule for posting is.... a bit off. Okay, it's not working at all. But that's fine because I have no idea how often I´ll be able to post in Nicaragua. Anyways, I have a few questions for you all before I leave you in the dark once more.

Did you like it when I asked specific questions of you knaves, or would you like me to be nice and just have the questions, or no questions or... anything else?
Also, did you like this My Face When, and do you want more?
Plus, anything in particular you want me to post about?? I'll be happy to oblige
And last, what do you think of me posting my reviews of books I've read on here? Oh, and movies. Thoughts?
Well, I'll be seeing ya!

Hello, humans! (And all you other life forms. Or ghosts. Or whoever happens to be reading this.)

I have not posted for... wait a sec... almost a month. Not since August, which is-

Me: far too long for you poor souls to be without my brilliance.
Myself: and my squirrel jokes.
I: Hi guys! I'm so glad to see you again!

Oh yeah, they're here too. Hello, girls.
I suppose I should update you all on my existence! Lets see... since I last wrote a post, I have been to Texas for a mission appeal. That went well.  Nothing to report. I have read a numerous number of books, and listened to many audio books too. I have listened to a bunch of fun music too. Ummmmm... I have decided that I will be adding more gifs to my posts because I love gifs! Also, we will-

Myself: tell more squirrel jokes! Do you know how to catch a squirrel?
Me: why would you want to catch a squirrel?
I: um, you use a net?
Myself: you climb up a tree, and act like a nut!*laughs*
I: *smiles* you are getting better, at those!
Me: I refuse to look at you.
Myself: *falls off couch* I- can't- can't- b-breathe!!

Wow. Just wow. And what is this with the interrupting me? Quit it!
So, I was going to do more in the FLC, but.... well, it didn't work out, so... I have the picture for the creature I made up, and also just so you know, TEAM DRAGON WON!

Thank you so much Kathryn for doing that!
Voila!  My creature. I used a 0.5 mm led mechanical pencil, and watercolor paints to color.

FOR CLARIFICATION: she is wearing a dress, and the two darker blue squiggly shapes are NOT her legs. They are part of the dress. Her legs are not visible due to the fact that she is wearing a dress. And the lighter blue shape is NOT a tail. It is ALSO part of the dress. Just thought I'd let you know.

Books I've read:
I may have mentioned some before, but who cares?
  1. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians
  2. Demigod Files
  3. Trials of Apollo
  4. Mister Max the Book of Lost Things
  5. Sure Signs of Crazy
  6. Wings of Fire
I know I have read more but I can't think of them at the moment!

Audiobooks I've listened to:
  1. Sparkling Cyonide
  2. Peril at End House
  3. 4:50 from Padington
  4. A Body in the Library
  5. Hercule Poirot's Christmas
  6. The ABC Murders
And I think that is it!

SPEAK, KNAVE!

What have you been doing lately?  Read any good books? ANY AGATHA CHRISTIE FANS OUT THERE?? Any books you would reccomend that I can add to my 59,0000 item long To Be Read list??? Who else has read any of the books I have? (Or audiobooks) My ears ache from hearing my own voice.

FLC IS HERE!!!!!!

Hello everyone! And how are we all today? Just brilliant I am sure!
So, I have a couple of announcements,  first off, I am going camping at a lake and woohoo! What fun! Excpet it isn't really camping because it is going to be in a house thingy. Ah well. It will still be fun!

Next! I am going to be participating in Fantasy Liturature Camp, hosted by Kathryn (totally go check out her blog, people!) So today's topic will be the project I was assigned. By the way, I am part of Team Dragon,  and I will put the button up someday soon, but not today, Zurg,  because I can't figure it out! (Help, please!?) Actually I will be! Ta-da!!!!!! (THANKS KATHRYN!)

So, todays project:
Create a fantastical creature! Describe it on your blog-what would it eat, what does it look like, and does it have any special powers? Make it as detailed as you want. You can draw a picture of it for five extra points.
10pts, 15pts with picture

So, I don't have time for a picture today, sadly... but I will describe it! My creature is a mix of already invented ones. They have dragon wings, and a human looking face, and human looking body, minus the dragon wings, of course. They can only breath above water for an hour or so. They live underwater, and despite their what they look like, they are very useful for swimming. They are not highly intelligent creatures,  but make wonderful messengers in the underwater kingdom. They wear clothes that Madame, the queen of the UnderRealm, gave to them. They are strictly vegan. Their powers are their photographic memories. They remember everything that they hear or see. I will try to draw a picture some other time. Well, that's it!! I can't wait to do more of these!!!!

My Blog's Design- A Review

Aaye Mellonamin!

And how are we today?
I: fine, thank you!
Me: molto bene!
Myself: hey did you see that squirrel yesterday?
Me: the one that the dog chased?
Myself: yeah, that thing was completely nuts!!! *roars with laughter*
Me: he. he. he.
I: that is really not funny at all

(I'll just keep going with the post. Sorry about the noise! They are like this ALL the time. Esspecially when I'm trying to get to sleep!)
So, in case you couldn't tell, about two weeks ago I got a new design!!
I wasn't satisfied with my own work, so I asked my friend Allie Taylor for help. She does blog design and oh. My. g-o-s-h. She is good. I mean, just look at this place!!
Go check out her blog! And if you need work done, ask her. She's wonderful!!!!!!!
Here is my review.
I asked for a midnight in spring feel. She gave me midnight blue font, with a silvery background. I also asked for pale green somewhere, because I LOVE the color! So, little box thingy majig around the pages, that is green. And the replies to comments are in green too. I wasn´t even sure how it would work with blue and purple, but it worked WONDERFULLY!
The design is simple and open, which is exactly what I was looking for.
Also, she made me a button and a header, which I have wanted for a while but didn´t know how to do. So far, I have not found a single deffect.
Out of five stars I give her 10. Great job, Allie! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Me: hey! She was writing the post without us!!!!
Myself: not cool, E. NOT. COOL.
I: *gasp* how could you?

Oh calm down girls, sheesh. It's just a post!

Me: I can't believe you!!!!
Myself: I oughta punch you!
I: *cries*

Um, calm down, okay? It's not the end of the world yet! He he. Right? Right?
*chuckles nervously* um, see ya people. I need to run.

Vedui' il'er

Vedui' il'er!
Yeah, yeah I know. I said I would only post every other week, but honest, it's an emergency. There's a crack. In my wall. Aunt Shy says it's an ordinary crack, but I know it's not, cause at night... there are voices. So please could you send someone to fix it. Or a policeman. Or-
Oh wait, you didn't want a quote? Woops. That was from The Eleventh Hour, the first episode of season five of Doctor Who. Amelia Pond says it. So back to the real thing:
I am going to be doing a character conversation with my friend Christine's (not Daae, unfortunately. She ran off with Raoul. Tsk. Tsk. What a foolish girl) character.
The emergency is just this: we don't really know what we want our characters to say. So, we want you, lovely readers, (yes, contrary to common belief *frowns at myself* you are lovely) to supply them with questions. Here is your assingment in bold just in case you don't understand, Me tells me that she doesn't:
What would you like my character (Mik) to ask Christine's character (Eirick), or vice versa?
Still not make sense? Ask in a comment! Thank you for reading this, even though I said I wouldn't post it!
Namaarie Mellonamin!
~Your Friend (FOREVER) in the Yellow Shirt, E
Joke lang! Thought you got rid of me, eh? Well you didn't! (Excuse me for a moment, I need to laugh evilly and do a villain's rule! dance)
For serious, though. It was pointed out to me, by my wonderful friend that the above post was confusing. I felt so too, but I wasn't sure so I'm glad she thought so too.
Okay, let's pretend I am going to be Dorathy from The Wizard of Oz. And you, are going to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland. We are going to talk to eachother but only as our characters.
That is what I will be doing with Christine, only not with Alice and Dorothy, but with our own characters from our own stories. Make more sense? Sorry for the misunderstanding before!

A Little Bit Of Nothing...

Hello all you lovely readers!

Me: ha! that's the funniest thing I've heard all day!

Myself: what about that joke I told you?
Me: you mean the dog one?
Myself: yep. wasn't it great?
Me: you know what, not really.
I: You mean this one? "A dog walks up to a tree and then says 'oh no, I forgot to store acorns for winter and now I am dead."
Myself: *doubles over with laughter* it's so funny because the squirrel gets dead!
Me: you think you are so funny, don't you?
I: that's from Up isn't it?
Myself: yeah isn't it great? *laughs hysterically*
Me: Amin feuya ten' lle

cricket cricket. cheep cheep. blink blink.

Okay that was weird. I need to ground those three.

Me, Myself and I: WHAAAAT??? NOOOOO!!!!!
Me: the 'lovely' readers love us!!!
Myself: I need to tell more squirrel jokes!! where will the world be without me??
I: PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ DOOOOOOOON'T!!!!!!!!!!

Oh good grief! What do you think? Should I keep them? (please answer in the comments) I may just bring them out for special occasions. Anyways, back to the post.

I've been doing a lot of stuff, and this summer is really going to be packed!

This weekend, we went to visit my aunt in Peoria, Illinois. She is a Franciscan Sister of the Martyr St. George! It was really great. This coming weekend, we are going to Texas to do mission appeals at churches. I'm sure by now you have got the memo that we are going to Honduras or Nicaragua in September, or October. Yeah, the date isn't definite. Also, August 3rd Ellie and her boyfriend Tom are coming to visit. My oldest sister Abi and her husband Grant are getting here the 11th of August and Mia is also coming back from World Youth Day then! I am doing camp nano this July, which is going slow, but fun. So, I will be posting every other week I think. We'll see. A very awesome friend (THANKS MADDIE!!) told me I should have a schedule for posting, so that's it. I don't want to do every week, though. That would be too much.

So, I also am going to start posting more of my art work, I mean you'll want to see it before you commission me, I'm assuming. I haven't really worked on that much though... been writing and reading more.

Okay, one last thing before I go. I have been reading a lot of good books lately, and so here is a list just in case you need something to read:

  1.  Ghost At The Window by Margaret McAllister
  2.  Octave of Angels by Margaret McAllister
  3.  Aesop's Fables by Margaret McAllister
  4.  Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein
  5.  Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics by Chris Grabenstein
  6.  The Doldrums by Nicholas Gannon
I feel sure I've read more but... I can't think of them.... Oh well. I highly recommend all of those! They are very enjoyable and fantiliant.
Oh! did I mention??? I invented that word: Fantiliant. So don't steal it! You can use it, just don't claim it. It is the equivelant of FANTASTIC!!! and BRILLIANT!!! because I use those words waaay too much, so might as well make it easier to say :)
